May 2011

May was a busy month spend with family. Ashley's sister Brooke was in town with her family, so we spent a lot of time doing fun things with them. We also celebrated Mother's Day, Lizzy's 3rd birthday and Rachel's 2nd birthday.

We celebrated Mother's Day on the Heilner side by having a picnic at the park.

Nathan was proud to walk Ashley's parents dog, Rosie, around the park.

Dave's dad taught the girls how to walk on his treadmill and now that's the first thing they want to do when we go to their house!

Rachel

We went to the Farm at Thanksgiving Point with Brooke and her family. It was really fun because there were LOTS of baby animals.

There was a cute baby foal that was super friendly

He even let Nathan and Ocean pet him

Nathan loved the pony rides at the farm

Ocean was fearless and loved the pony rides too

Primary Childrens Hospital gave us tickets to ride Thomas the Train when we has in town. Nathan is a big fan of Thomas, so he was excited about it.

Nathan had 2 months of limited activites after his heart surgery, so at the end of May he was free to do anything he wanted to so we went outside and rode bikes (something he wasn't allowed to do)

Yeah! Bikes again!

Life in April 2011

Daniel has been taking piano lessons and his first recital in April.

Here his teacher Miss Diane is pictured with all of her students.

The recital was a big deal-- It was done in a recital hall, with a big stage, lighting, etc. It was a little intimidating for Daniel but he did great with his piece her performed.

Uncle Ronnie & Aunt Bridgette sent a Easter Egg Gingerbread house for the kids to do while Nathan was recovering from his surgery. The kids had so much fun putting it together.

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen stopped by at the perfect time to help!

Lizzy and Rachel have discovered the electric cars this year! They keep wanting to play outside and ride in them.

Lizzy loves driving around the cul-du-sac.

Daniel loves working on art projects and doing workbook pages when he gets home from school.

Rachel is going through a phase right now where she likes to run around naked. She often sheds her clothes and loves the freedom of being o-natural.

This year we did a family outing to the Easter Eggs-Treme at Thanksgiving Point. It was overcrowded and understaffed, but the kids still had a fun time.

Auntie Brooke came into town from China with her family so we enjoyed spending the day with them.

Uncle Stuart with Cousin Ocean (& Stuart's brother Colin who lives in SLC)

Nathan was excited to ride the train.

Daniel was a big help with the girls.
