Temple Square

On Thursday night, Dave and Ashley went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City to see the Christmas lights and to go out to dinner without the kids. While we were in Salt Lake a huge snow storm hit, so it took us 2 hours to get home at 5 mph!

December 12th, Daniel turned 4

On Daniel's actual birthday he brought strawberry cupcakes to his preschool class. He was very excited to help pass them out.

He got to wear a special birthday necklace and his preschool friends sang happy birthday to him.

Daniel's Birthday Party

On Saturday, December 8th we had a Bug themed birthday party for Daniel. Despite a blizzard outside, Daniel had about 12 friends come and they had fun playing all sorts of bug games...
Daniel was very excited to receive a guitar from Grandma Jensen

Breakfast with Santa

Saturday was our ward Christmas party. Santa was there to take photos with the kids on his Harley (I guess the sleigh was still at the North Pole). Daniel told Santa he wanted a guitar. We were pretty amazed that Nate sat on Santa's lap. We think he was so enthralled with the motorcycle, he didn't notice who was holding him!
Daniel sang Christmas songs with the Primary Children

Snow Storm!

On Saturday Morning we woke up to lots of snow! It continued to snow all day, so the kids had a blast playing in it.

Thanksgiving 2007

We spent this past Thanksgiving at Dave's parent's house in Pleasant Grove. Dave's brother Ronnie and his family came to visit from Colorado, so it was a really fun time.

Jefra

Yesterday, Jefra and her kids came and spent the afternoon with me. It was a lot of fun. Her kids are Emmett, 5, and Ellie, 2 1/2. She says hello to everyone in our family.

Young Womens

The past week has been full of Young Womens activities. One of them was our Etiquette Night formal dinner with Candilyn Newell. Below is a photo of the YM leaders who all dressed up like waiters and served the kids.

Below is a photo of all the YW leaders I serve with.

Here's the set up for the dinner. The kids had to dress up and they were served a 4 course meal. They seemed to enjoy it.

Family Photos

We recently had a photographer take a family photo of us in the Canyon with all of the fall colors. It was a small miracle that we had any with the kids looking at the camera, because our boys do not like to stay still! Especially Nathan. Ashley felt like she was wrestling with him in every picture!

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year, because both boys throughly enjoyed it! They were so excited to trick-or-treat and also had fun answering the door for our trick-or-treaters....They could hardly wait to get started!
Daniel chose his own costume this year. He was very excited to be bug, or beetle as he says.
Who needs to see anyway?
Nathan really caught onto the concept of trick-or-treating. He ran from house to house and shouted "doorbell!" He wanted to make sure he got there faster than Daniel and his friend Jonny. He also learned how to say "Treat"quickly when he realized there was candy involved. This kid LOVES candy!
