1 Week Old

Here are some new photos of our baby Elizabeth at 1 week old. She has been such an absolute dream. She sleeps well, eats well and just generally seems content. We are all very taken with her.

Baby Elizabeth

On May 18th, Elizabeth Marion Jensen was born. She weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz and was actually smaller than we were expecting. Ashley's water broke right after church while making rice crispy treats with the boys in the kitchen. Four hours later Elizabeth was born at UVRMC Hospital 5 days early.

Marion was Ashley's grandmother's name.
Ashley was pretty wiped out after the labor, since Elizabeth had been posterior. All of Ashley's contractions had been in her back so she needed a huge epidural to get through it!
Dave brought the boys by the meet their new sister. They have been really excited about her. Whenever she is around they want to hold her and feed her.
Proud Dad
On Saturday night, the eve of Elizabeth's birth, Daniel decided to give himself a haircut. So, Ashley rushed him to Supercuts right before closing and he now has a nice short summer hairdo! He's a little self-conscious about the whole thing.

Water Party

After Preschool graduation we went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of water guns and had a "Water party" with some of the kids in the neighborhood, since the weather was so nice.

Daniel and Jonny had so much fun defending their territory and playing against some of the older boys in the neighborhood (who are 6 and 7).

Nathan didn't love getting sprayed too much, but he insisted on being party of everything!

Daniel's Preschool Graduation

Yesterday, Daniel had his preschool graduation. We all went to cheer him on. He will actually be going back to Miss Julie's in the fall, but we enjoyed watching him show off some of the things he has learned this past year.Nathan was so happy to be outside! He is really growing up and has started to talk quite a bit in the last week. Lots of sentences with meaning and he is saying his own prayers. It's fun to be able to have a little conversation with him!
Here Daniel is with Miss Julie his preschool teacher. She took a moment to talk about each child's strengths and said how bright Daniel is.
Each child chose a talent to display at graduation and Daniel chose to draw a star.
Here the kids are doing their ABC's in sign language

39 Weeks

Here is Ashley 39 weeks pregnant and desperate to get this baby out! She had a doctor's appointment this week and was told that after almost 3 weeks of daily false labor and cramping, she had not even diliated to a 1 yet! The doctor told her to pray for her water to break, because otherwise, it looks like her only hope is to be induced a week AFTER her due date! :(

Primary Talent Show

Last week our Primary had a Chocolate party and talent show. Daniel was very excited about showing off some of his artwork he created (mostly with Mimi).

Thanksgiving Point Farm

Yesterday Ashley took the boys to Thanksgiving Point's farm country. It was so much fun, because there was hardly anyone there -- so we had the place to ourselves. The boys could run from animal to animal (and it wasn't even too hard for Ashley to keep up-- since she could see them everywhere they went! Two weeks to go!).

Nathan was so excited about the animals. He kept running from animal to animal mimicking all of their sounds. "Moo" "Quack" etc...

A little fake smile in an attempt to get him to pose.
The boys had so much fun playing in the jail playhouses Thanksgiving Point has.
One fun thing about the farm right now is that there are tons of baby animals, which are so cute! Here is a little baby miniature goat. We also saw calfs, ducklings, chicks. Daniel wanted to take the baby ducks home. He has a big duck fettish right now.
Nathan was fearless in feeding the animals. He would let the goats lick the corn kernals right out of his hand.
Nathan just LOVES all animals.
Here we are on a wagon ride around the farm. Ashley was hoping that the bumpiness would get labor going (since her doctor said that she is 0% dilated or effaced). But, no such luck!
