Summer

Daniel was so excited because I brought him to our end-of-the summer YM/YW boating activity at Utah Lake. He had never been on a boat before and LOVED IT! He keeps asking when we are going to get one. He insisted on sitting in the front and holding the flag.

Daniel had no fear about going on this big tube. He even asked to go back again a 2nd time.

Daniel planted his own little garden this summer. Here is one of his sunflowers that he actually grew from seeds. It's huge and he's very proud of it!

Daniel's friend Mady loves powerwheel cars, so we've been trading off activities. She comes over one day a week to ride in all of our cars and then we go to her house one day a week to swim in her pool. The kids love it.

Now that we are a family of 5 we decided to have some new family photos taken up in the Canyon. Here's some of our favorites....

Elizabeth was fussy and tired so we were happy to just get some of her not crying.

We are in the stage of life where it was impossible to get the kids to all look at the camera at the same time. It was pretty chaotic getting this picture taken.

Trax

Daniel has the month of August off from preschool so we've been looking for activities to fill the day. One thing we did this past week was ride Trax into Salt Lake City. The boys had the time of their life and LOVED IT! They'd never been on a train before.

We got off at the Temple Square stop and walked around the grounds.

A visit from Dane

Last weekend, Uncle Dane came to visit from Boston. We were able to spend Saturday with him and went up to Bridal Veil Falls.

Primary Pool Party

Daniel has loved swimming this summer. So, he was really looking forward to the Primary Pool party at the Burdge's house. It was a little bit crazy with all of the kids, but Daniel and Nathan had a great time.Daniel liked this rocket ship

Elizabeth's Blessing

Last Sunday, our daughter Elizabeth was blessed at church. Afterwards we invited some of our family and close friends over for an amazing lunch that Dave prepared. The menu included Salmon, couscous , fruit and 4 incredible cakes.Dave's Parents

Provo Canyon

On Saturday, Ashley took the boys to Provo Canyon to play in the river. The had such a great time. I always forget that we have such a great resource just 5 miles away!

It's been hard to get Daniel to smile for pictures these days. He chooses these poses instead.

The boys had fun throwing pebbles into the river. Our original plan was to go to Bridal Veil Falls, but it was closed due to a fire at the old restaurant up top. So, we went to a park close by instead.

Elizabeth reminded me a little bit of Baby Moses asleep by the river.
