Easter Sunday

We spent Easter Sunday at Dave's parents house in Pleasant Grove. We were joined by Dave's sister Linda and her family and his niece Sherry and her family. We had a great ham dinner, egg hunts ( the kids kept hiding and hunting the eggs) and beautiful 65 degree weather.

Daniel and Nathan had a great time looking for eggs during the Easter Egg hunt.

Nathan had fun playing with Sherry's twins Kate & Noah

Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday, we had our first Easter Egg Hunt of the season at Mimi & Papa's house. Mimi bought really great prizes for the winners, so Daniel was determined to gather as many eggs as he could to win a Diego bug catcher game.
The egg hunt was fun this year because even the little boys understood that they were supposed to gather eggs and were excited about the race. Nathan had so much fun.

Daniel found 24 eggs! He was so proud of himself.

Eggs & Blocks

Daniel has gotten into building tall towers with blocks and there is nothing Nathan likes more than to destroy them! Daniel likes Ashley to take pictures of his towers so that he can remember them. Maybe he'll be an engineer someday like Grandpa Jensen, better known as Paka.
Daniel really enjoyed dying Easter Eggs this year. The funny thing is that he doesn't like to eat eggs, so Ashley keeps catching him peeling off the shells of the hard boiled eggs they colored and throwing them out, so that we can make some more!
Nathan took placing stickers on the eggs very seriously!

Matchies

I really enjoy dressing the boys in matching Sunday clothes for Church. I know this is probably the last year I'll be able to do it, before Daniel protests, but I think they look so cute together.

Playing Outside

Our days are pretty routine at this phase of life, but one of the things that we have really enjoyed doing this past week is playing outside. Finally after 2 months of frigid temperatures, the weather got into the 50's so we spent considerable time outside having fun! Nathan in his little yellow beetle-- just his size.
Daniel enjoyed riding his motor bike which Santa brought him for Christmas. It really goes fast!
Daniel's friend Jonny loves coming over to play with the boys. Nathan is totally captivated with his Lightening McQueen car and has even learned how to drive it. As soon as Jonny gets out for something, Nathan hops in and takes it for a ride!

The Luau

On Friday night, The YM & YW hosted a huge luau to raise money for Girl's Camp and Scouts. It has consumed Ashley's life for weeks but turned out to be a huge success. Our ward raised $9000! We had entertainment, a huge bouncy slide, crafts, dinner and a live and silent auction. Our ward was so supportive, we had about 140 items donated towards the auction. Ashley's mom and dad came to check out the event.Daniel loved the kalua pork
Ashley's 2nd Counselor Cynthia who was in charge of all the kids craft activities
1st Counselor Cindy who helped do the auction with Ashley
Ashley 27 weeks pregnant. It was a long day on her feet-- about 9 hours between the event, set up and clean up. But she survived! The event was a lot of fun.

Sunday

This has been such an exciting winter in Utah. It seems like we have had a snow storm almost daily for a month! We have about 2 feet of snow out in front of our house and the boys have had so much fun going outside each day to play in it.

Church actually ended early on Sunday, because we had such a big snow storm. Mom & Dad didn't even have church since they meet at a later time.
Of course, the snow plows bypass our cul-du-sac so we have been especially grateful for our SUV this winter. We need it to trek home!
